Hundreds protest against blasphemous film

Hundreds of people participated in the “Rasoolaage (SAW) sahusiyyathu Mathiverikurun” march taken out by Teachers' on occasion of World Teachers' Day  in protest against the US-made sacrilegious film that hurt the sentiments of Muslims across the world.

The rally was taken out from the Ihavandhoo Madharusa on Friday 4pm.

Besides a large number of teachers, the march was also attended by people belonging to different walks of life, including students,  lawyers, Bangladesh labourers, traders, nurses ,  doctors and ODDI VERIN  . The demonstrators vowed to lay down their lives for safeguarding the honour and sanctity of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The participants were carrying placards and banners, inscribed with slogans against anti Islam. 

School principal Kasif Raza Zaidi, Deputy principal Samad, Community Health officer Fayaz, Islam Teacher Ahmed Rasheed, and Katheeb Mohamed Ibrahim addressed the rally.

Mohamed Ameen's services to the nation

When Mohamed Ameen returned to Male' after studying abroad there was a committee drafting a constitution and king Shamsudeen appointed him, by royal letter, to that group. He was its youngest and most intelligent member. After numerous difficulties, the constitution was completed and it was formally approved on Thursday 23 Shauban 1351 (22 December 1932). Acting under the constitution, the king gave the Minister for Trade portfolio to Mohamed Ameen, and he performed well in accordance with the practices of the time. Shortly after the adoption of the constitution, a serious dispute began between the Borah traders and the government. The Borahs ceased trading, locked up their shops and occupied their mosque and their three shop-houses. The government declared martial law. The person in charge was chief minister Mohamed Fareed Didi, who was also minister of the askariya (militia). On the second day of martial law, a small protest was organised. ނޮޅިވަރަންފަރު ނަޝދުއާއި އަލީ ރައްޓެހި މެޑަމް ނަސްރީނާ : ފޮޓޯ ރަށްގޮވާއަޑު މިދަތުރުގެ ފޮޓޯތައް ބައްލަވާލެއްވުމަށް މިލިންކަށް ތަދައްހުލްވޭ ގްރޭޑް 12 ގެ ދަރިވަރުން ދަތުރު ނާމާ ލިޔުމަށް ކުރާދަތުރުގައި އަހަރެން އަދި ބައިވެރިއެއް ނުވައެވެ. އެހެންވެ، ޕްރިންސިޕަލް ގެ އެދިލެއްވުމަށް ، މިދަތުރުގައި ބައިވެރިވާން އަހަރެން އެއްބަސްވީ ، ކަނޑުމައްޗަށް ބަލި މީހެއްކަންވެސް ދެނެހުރެއެވެ. 2013 ވަނަ އަހަރު ގްރޭޑް 12 ގެ ދަރިވަރުން ދަތުރު ނާމާ ލިޔުމަށްޓަކައި ، ދަތުރު ދިއުމަށް ހަމަޖެހުނީ ތިލަދުންމަތީ ދެކުނުބުރީ ނޮޅިވަރަންފަރަށެވެ. އެރަށުން މިދަތުރުގެ އިންތިޒާމްތައް ހަމަޖައްސައި ދެއްވީ އެރަށު ސްކޫލުން ނެވެ. އެސްކޫލްގެ މުވައްޒަފުންނާއި ބެލެނިވެރިންވެ. ނޮޅިވަރަންފަރު ސްކޫލްގެ ޕްރިންސިޕަލަކަށް ހުންނަވަނީ އެއަތޮޅު ނޮޅިވަރަމް ބޭފުޅެކެވެ. ނަމަކީ ޢަދުނާނު ޢަލީ އެވެ.
